Canine Country's dog training programs are designed for the dog owner who desires an obedient dog (at home as well as in public). By participating in our programs, you will control your dog in every day distractions, on or off leash in a very short period of time. This method of training is so simple and efficient you will notice a difference in you dog's behavior after the first training session.

BASIC OBEDIENCE AND BEYOND
    Our training program is guaranteed for the life of your dog. There is a one-time fee which includes private lessons consisting of basic obedience commands and behavioral issues. The private lessons are followed by unlimited group classes held in our 2500 Sq .Ft. climate controlled training center. In pleasant weather we train at some of our local area parks. Classes are offered several times a week and you may participate as often as you like. This is where the real life distractions occur and where the immediate results of our training techniques truly come alive.

In-Board Training
    The quickest and easiest way (for both you and your dog) to get your dog trained is through one of our inboard training programs. We have 2 week programs available.

    Dog training is about 60% dog training and 40% people training. With inboard training, we can do the 60% for you and make the 40% very easy.

    First, your dog comes and stays with us. While boarding here, we teach your dog all that he needs to know about obedience as well as work on any specific behavior problems he may have. We use the basic commands: heel, sit, down, stay, and come to teach your dog that giving respect to his handler is not only something that he must do, but something that can and does bring him great pleasure.

    Once we're done training your dog, then we work with you and your family in private follow-up classes to teach you how to get out of the dog what we've put in. A trained dog isn't of much value if you don't know how to use the training.

Daycare Obedience
    Like our in-house training program, the daycare obedience can be used to work on obedience or behavior modifications while they play with their friends at daycare. This program can also be used in conjunction with group or private lessons to maximize the learning curve.

American Kennel Club’s Canine Good Citizen Test
     The Canine Good Citizen Program lays the foundation for other AKC activities such as obedience, agility, tracking, and performance events. Training will enhance the bond between you and your dog. Dogs who have a solid obedience education are a joy to live with-they respond well to household routines, have good manners in the presence of people and other dogs, and they fully enjoy the company of the owner who took the time to provide training, intellectual stimulation, and a high quality life.

Puppy Pre-School
     Puppy Pre-School is designed to help puppies and their owners establish communication skills at a young age.  By using confidence building exercises and gentle training techniques, we start owners and their puppies off on the right paw!  Our small, weekly preschool sessions allow for personalized attention and your questions about your puppy to be addressed. Through the guidance of our staff and the participation of other puppy owners, you will learn a great deal about socialization, confidence building, proper handling, basic problem solving, and other owner-educational topics.
